Apartments Stancija Padovan, we are located right next to the tourist area of “Zelena Laguna” which is only 3 km away from the center of Porec. The sea or the tourist area are only 1200 m away from our apartments.
The Zelena Laguna is a beautiful tourist area with many beaches, hotels, and camps of high excellence. The Zelena Laguna also offers many fish restaurants and a great variety of sports that can be exercised there. Some of the sports offered are: horseback riding, water-ski, scuba diving, tennis, football...The beaches in Zelena Laguna are mainly rocky with concrete places to sunbathe and with easy access to the sea, but you can also find pebble and sand beaches which are well suited for younger swimmers. To get to Porec you can use the small "touristic train", local bus or a small touristic boat.
Porec is often referred to as the capital of Croatian tourism. The town is situated on the west coast of the Istrian peninsula. Ever since the Roman era, the town has played an important role in the region for reasons such as its position, agricultural resources and religious dominance. The Euphrasius basilica dating from the 5th century A.D. is the most impressive and famous monument in Porec. It has been a UNESCO world heritage site since 1997. The basilica is one of the best preserved Byzantine complexes in Europe. It was Bishop Euphrasius who ordered a basilica to be built on an older one from the 3rd century A.D. The interior of the church is relatively simple in contrast to the magnificence of its exterior. Do not miss the concerts of classical music during the summer.
